PROM Programme and Doctoral Workshop in Scientific Methodology at SGH Warsaw School of Economics

The aim of the PROM Programme is to improve the competencies of doctoral students and academic staff from Poland and abroad, including those from outside the EU, by international scholarship exchange. The Programme will enable the participation in short forms of education (lasting from 5 to 30 days) of international nature, which are aimed at enhancing competences and qualifications.

SGH Warsaw School of Economics announces the recruitment of INCOMING PARTICIPANTS to the project developed under the PROM Programme. Their participation in the 2022 SGH PhD Doctoral Workshop will be financed.

Actions undertaken in frames of the Programme are as follows:

1. ​participation in a doctoral research workshop (2022 SGH PhD Doctoral Workshop in Scientific Methodology) on 6-10 June 2022,
2. gathering materials for a doctoral thesis.

PhD candidates are invited to attend a five-day on-site doctoral workshop in research methodology to guide their preparation of PhD dissertations. The workshop programme includes general and specialisation classes: Applied philosophy of science for economics: The role of questions and assumptions; Quantitative methods in scientific research; Qualitative methods in practice: How to make sense of data that are not numbers; Systematic Literature Review; Public speaking: How to speak so that we will be listened to, and a study visit.
